A bit of History

Our practice was started in May 1992 by Dr. William Grimm, who had relocated to the Desert from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since it's creation, Desert Primary Care has had one priority: its patients. Our patients benefit from our commitment to provide sensitive, quality care in a relaxed, comfortable environment.

The interaction of a patient and his/her physician is based on a relationship of trust. Like any other relationship, the patient-physician relationship is sacred and requires certain elements to maintain its balance. Trust, proper judgment, open communication, and ability to express feelings are essential for maintaining a healthy patient-physician relationship. At our office, we strive to provide an environment conducive to such relationships.

Medicine is not an exact science, instead it is ever-evolving. Many physicians also see medicine as an art as well as a science. This is also my belief. The successful and humane application of state-of-the-art medical techniques and medicines for the benefit and well-being of a patient makes the difference between a pure scientist and a healing physician, who understands the individual patient's emotional as well as physical needs.
