Gordon is a 1991 graduate of Wake Forest University Physician Assistant Program. He has spent most of this time providing care to those with HIV and AIDS. He has a previous specialty in Hematology/Oncology, at Wake Forest University Comprehensive Cancer Center. Practicing medicine for many years in a large HIV clinic in the heart of San Francisco has provided him with invaluable experience in treating patients living with HIV. "I've spent time taking care of people of all walks of life." "My idea of treating patients is simple; treat people without judgment, give respect and empathy. This idea allows for comfort and honesty, which provides a positive health care experience."

Growing up in Michigan, Gordon as a great appreciation for Desert life. He has may interests outside of Medicine including a gift store Ideal World that he and his partner own in Palm Springs.
